The Reflection of Love by Teri Johnson
Yesterday, in a fit of anger; mean & judgmental words came flying out of my mouth!
This morning, Holy Spirit interrupted my worship & adoration time, by giving me a glimpse in yesterday's rear-view mirror of my bad behavior. And then He quickly held His Mirror up to my face, reminding me of who He created me to be a reflection of. I was born to be a mirror-reflection of His Love & Light & the Treasure that He has placed inside of me. He reminded me of the power of my words & that they should always be a reflection of;
OH MY WORD!
My words had not reflected His Fruit or True Nature.
My EagleRock Ministries Mission Statement is: “To release freedom & joy, by bringing people into real tangible encounters with God's Presence”. Yesterday’s outburst certainly did not line up with my mission!
I have asked Holy Spirit to interrupt me any time or any place that He wants to. I love to be interrupted and encounter Him. He interrupted me during my worship this morning, not because He was angry with me, but because He loves me! He gave me the opportunity to reflect with repentance. I asked for the “Helper’s” help in doing so and was reminded that I need to quit asking the Lord for what He has already given me, for I already have been given ALL that I need inside of me, to be a true reflection of God.
If someone who professed to be a follower of Christ, unleashed on me what I released yesterday . . . . I would have said: “Wow, if that is what Christians are like, I want NONE of that!”
I was right yesterday and I was letting this person know that they were wrong. But I had forgotten that my part was to love them and Holy Spirit was the One who brings conviction to them. My late mentor would always remind me: My part was to do easy part and ONLY God can do the hard part, and for me to stop trying to do God’s part!
THE CHOSEN ONES GET TO CHOOSE
Later today, I will have the opportunity to choose to sincerely apologize without excuses and ask that person I hurt for forgiveness.
We get to choose how we vote in our November election. Hopefully our election choices will reflect God’s values. Our choices will surely have an effect on the entire landscape of our country.
PONDERING QUESTIONS
TWO ULTIMATE CHOICES
“You didn’t choose me, but I’ve chosen and commissioned you to go into the world to bear fruit. And your fruit will last, because whatever you ask of My Father, for My sake, He will give it to you!” John 15:16 (TPT)
“For when you demonstrate the same love I have for you by loving one another, everyone will know that you’re my true followers.” John 13:35 (TPT)
What would happen if Christians were known by Love?
“I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life . . .” Deuteronomy 30:19 (AMP)
“Let us not lose heart for we will see the Goodness of our Lord in the Land of the living.” Psalm 27:13
Transformation begins with one person at a time, today it begins with me.

I was born to be a mirror-reflection of His Love & Light & the Treasure that He has placed inside of me. He reminded me of the power of my words & that they should always be a reflection of;
- The 9 Fruits of the Holy Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, & Self-control.
- God’s True Nature: His Goodness, Grace & Mercy

PONDERING QUESTIONS
- What would be the result, if Christians on both sides chose to apologize and ask forgiveness towards each other for NOT reflecting the Fruits of the Spirit & God’s Goodness?
- Would choosing to honor, respect and love each other, awaken us to an expression of true repentance, and in turn release transformation across our nation, and beyond to all nations?
