Showers of Blessings by Teri Johnson
Recently in the early morning, I was going to the Lowes Home Improvement Center, to pick up a special order light plate switch for our home. As I drove across town I was reminded of the birthday anniversary of my Father (Aug. 29th) who has passed into Heaven. Holy Spirit gave me the strong unction to visit his gravesite @ Greenlawn on Panama right across from Lowes. I had clear instructions to do a prophetic act & declaration. I was to sincerely thank God for the rich inherited blessings on my Father’s Generational line. And with a grateful heart intentionally receive them for myself & my children & their future generations with joyful expectation.
My mother & niece are also buried close to him. And there is a special bench in memory of my niece that was placed under a tree in her honor. I had pictured in my heart sitting on that bench and following the Lord’s leading. I picked up my special order & drove across the street. As my SUV approached the site suddenly the sprinkler heads popped up and began shooting the grass around the area.
I thought; Oh well, I’ll get out quickly before the water starts hitting the bench, but suddenly more sprinkler heads started to shoot on the bench. Then I thought; That is ok, I’ll just sit in the car & then bam! the water began hitting my SUV hard & getting it all wet. I just started laughing and made my prophetic declaration with joy and left.
I was thinking about this later that day & I heard the Lord say:
“Teri, Showers of Blessings are stored up. They will hit your life hard and it will be surprising to you how they will be released so strong and so suddenly.”
Proverbs 10:22 KJV
"The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it".
I believe with all my heart that there are BIG blessings stored up for God’s children, just waiting for someone to simply ask the Lord!
Matthew 7:7-11
7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9“Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? 10“Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? 11“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!"
