Papa’s got a Brand-New Bag!
As I contemplated on this coming New Year, I was reminded of the song “Papa’s gotta a brand-new bag” sung by the King of Soul, James Brown.
Our Heavenly Papa, the King of ALL souls has a brand-new bag filled with new Kingdom goodies; 2022 will be a year of the discovery of new things that we have never heard or seen before. God will uncover what He has hidden & reserved for us especially for 2022.
Papa’s gotta a brand-new bag because you cannot put new wine into old wineskins!
No one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins.
Mark 2:22
You have heard; See all this. And will you not declare it? I have made you hear new things from this time, Even hidden things, and you did not know them.

A New Thing
2022 will be filled with the Fullness of the Newness of Life.
You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Psalm 16:11
Having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.

Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Brand Spanking New
The phrase “Brand Spanking New” is a combination of: Brand New & Spick & Span. It means something entirely new, crisp & clean & sparkling! Remember the Doctor’s tradition of spanking the new-born baby’s bottom immediately after delivery, causing them to cry out as they took in their first breath?
It starts with us, as God lovingly spanks His own, to lead us to turn around, look up and cry out to Him, for it is the Goodness of God that leads to repentance.
Romans 2:4
For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?
1 Peter 4:17
Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.

The New Birthed into the Earth
What God is about to birth in the earth, will be as swift & suddenly, filled with the Joy of New Life. Are you ready for a clean break? Are you ready to be surprised with a refreshing reset?
Branded New & Marked by God
God has set a remnant apart for Himself and He has heard our cry.
But know that the Lord has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The Lord will hear when I call to Him.
Psalm 4:3
Branded by God
God loves to mark His own to set us apart for Himself. His Brand upon us will cause all to recognize that we belong to Him. Remember in Revelation, God stamped His Name upon the heads of the 144,000 to show others that they were His. And God gave Cain a mark to protect him.
The term Brand New is also derived from Brand, the German word for fire.
We have been branded & forged in the fire of 2021, and in 2022 we are coming forth, stronger & more brilliant than ever, with sharp swords; weapons of Love, marked by God Himself.
The Remembrance Brand of God / A Testimony of His Goodness
. . . . love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” Deuteronomy 6:4-9
Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. It flowed down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations. No longer will there be a curse upon anything. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him. Mirror-Image
Jesus sees His Reflection in the Father, and He sees Himself in those that belong to Him.
“I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, just as the Father knows me and I know the Father.”

God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this seal: ‘The Lord knows those who are His’”
2 Timothy 2:19
Jesus was branded on His Head, Hands and Feet. Jesus in turn, eternally branded us, as we inherit all the benefits He purchased for us.
. . . For the Lord has comforted his people and will have compassion on his afflicted … I will not forget you. Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands;” Isaiah 49:13-16
2022 will come swiftly as the wind. The sons of God will manifest the Newness of Life on earth as it is in Heaven. People will recognize us and see the Anchor of Hope that we carry for this world from the inside out. The Law of Attraction will strongly operate through us as our strong Love for God & for others will be undeniably irresistible! A huge cleansing Wave will wash over all the earth, resulting in God’s Goodness suddenly appearing for all to see, at new levels that have never been imagined before. Like a salty ocean wave, there will be healing for the nations. 2021 was a hard year to come through, but God’s going to give you double for your trouble, it will well be worth it, for the best is yet to come!
