In the Cool of the Day by Teri Johnson
I enjoyed a cool breeze, as I took my dogs Lulu & Lilly on our early morning walk. Above me, there was a rustling in the many neighborhood Balsam Trees. I saw signs displayed in many of my neighbor’s yards that read: “It’s going to be alright” and one neighbor had a sign that said: “Hope has not been cancelled”. Right before I turned the corner, as my dogs were sniffing some tall & overgrown weeds, I heard & saw a dove come from out of the midst of the weeds. The Dove looked at me, and it cooed.
I have learned years ago, to have my senses open to perceive what God was saying. He speaks to us in a multitude of different ways. He was talking to me on my walk and I was listening.

THE “ENOCH” WALK
As with Enoch, God still loves to walk & talk with us in the cool of the day. Our walk of Faith with Him (as we believe Him in all of Life’s circumstances), gives God great pleasure.
"By faith, Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation, he had this testimony, that he pleased God." Hebrews 11:5 KJV
“Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.” Genesis 5:24
FROM THE MANDATE TO A GOD DATE!
You have been given the luxury of this time to soak & rest in Him. As you have been mandated to “Shelter in Place”, God wants to take you on a date, away from the hustle & bustle. He has new places for you to go. He has new things to show you. He will show you His Ways, that you might walk with Him and discover His New Encounter Pathways.
I was reminded of that old “Calgon Bath Bubbles” commercial.
“Oh, Calgon, Take me away!”
It conveyed that when you have too much on your plate, you can take a break, relax, and do nothing but enjoy a calmness provided by soaking in a Calgon bubble bath.
FROM BREAK TO BREAKTHOUGH
I heard the gentle breeze rustling the leaves in the trees above me.
Our taking a Break in Him is followed by a Breakthrough.
Our eyes blink for the purpose of opening up.
We sleep to be awakened.
Our resting in Him strengthens us for the battle ahead.

“And it shall be, when you hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall advance quickly. For then the Lord will go out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.” 2 Sam 5:24 NKJV
I was reminded of God’s Angel called: “Breakthrough” that He has assigned to others, (Bob Jones, & Randy DeMain), just to name a few. God’s still sending His angels on Assignments to help, protect, fight, & bring messages to us.
ENOCH: PATRIARCH OF FAITH & FATHER OF METHUSELAH
Holy Spirit impressed on me to look up the meaning of the name: Methuselah
Do you know what one definition of the name Methuselah is?
Methuselah = A Wine Bottle 8 times the standard size!
The New Wine is in a BIG Bottle! That’s GOOD News for those that are thirsty!
IT’S NOT THE “NEW NORMAL”, IT’S A “NEW THING”!
We all know that the Old Wineskins will burst & fall apart if we try to put the New Wine in them. We must reject the idea of the “New Normal” to embrace God’s New thing! It’s Unique, NOT normal! We have NEVER gone this way before!
THE CLUSTER ANOINTING
As we come out of this time of consecration to gather together in new ways, there’s the promise of a huge blessing to be found. Christ is in the Center of our Cluster! There’s revival, restoration and healing for the nations!
“Thus says the Lord: “As the new wine is found in the cluster, And one says, ‘Do not destroy it, For a blessing is in it . . . ” Isaiah 65:8 NKJV
THE BALSAM TREES
It’s interesting that the Balsam Tree has a fragrant medicinal resin/ointment that is used for healing. This reminds me of Jesus, the Balm of Gilead, and the Tree of Life with the leaves for the healing of the nations.
ENOCH’S LIFE SPAN - 365 YEARS
“So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.”
Genesis 5:23
NON-STOP COMMUNION WITH GOD
365 days in the year, to walk & talk with Him - 365/24/7
“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
Psalm 34:1 NKJV
“The Lord will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.” Isaiah 58:11 NKJV
“Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.” Hebrews 13:15 NKJV
THIS IS THAT DAY
I heard Holy Spirit tell me “THIS is THAT Day”.
He took me from Genesis 5:23 to 2 Peter 3:8 . . . .
“But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” 2 Peter 3:8 NKJV
A NEW HOLY SPIRIT OUTPOURING
“And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.” Joel 2:28
Several questions came across my screen & God is asking you also:
THE DOVE IN THE BUSH
We must embrace the Wilderness, where we can hear and see Him with great clarity. But, we must not stay there too long, we must go to the next place that He has for us.
“And when forty years had passed, an Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire in a bush, in the wilderness of Mount Sinai.” Acts 7:30
“And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed.” Exodus 3:2
THE TARABLE PARABLE
Holy Spirit is in the midst of the terror with Peace to flood over us, Peace, that is beyond our understanding.
“The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing.”
18 “I will gather those who sorrow over the appointed assembly,
Who are among you,
To whom its reproach is a burden.
Behold, at that time
I will deal with all who afflict you;
I will save the lame,
And gather those who were driven out;
I will appoint them for praise and fame
In every land where they were put to shame.
At that time I will bring you back,
Even at the time I gather you;
For I will give you fame and praise
Among all the peoples of the earth,
When I return your captives before your eyes,”
Says the Lord.” Zephaniah 3:17-20 KJV
SIGNS THAT POINT TO HIM
There are signs to see, and wonder & ponder:
“It’s going to be alright” I say: MORE than alright!
It’s NOT glory to gory, it is glory to GLORY!
Hope has not, and never will be cancelled!
As we turn the corner, and come out of the “wilderness”, God is clearing the weeds & opening up a new encounter pathways for us to walk with Him upon. We have never, ever gone this way before. It feels uncomfortable, and we are not sure what this will all entail.
I hear God asking two important questions . . . .
1. Are you willing to go there?
2. Do you trust Me?
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV
"Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19
