Tarry by Teri
It’s exciting but not always easy being prophetic. God’s Visionaries are gifted to see a long way out. The hard part is to be able to stay in a place of faith, even when everything looks like you must have missed it.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Habakkuk 2:3 NKJV
According to Websters: the word tarry; to wait, abide, dwell, remain, to continue to be in a place for a significant amount of time
THE WAITING IS KILLING ME
The long wait is not fun, it may seem like it’s killing you, and that is a good thing! Read Chapter 6 of the Book of Romans, it is a good reminder that nothing can kill you, because you are already dead in Him!
And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Galatians 5:24 NKJV
Jesus said: “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.”
Luke 9:23 NKJV
IS IT WORTH THE WAIT?
Waiting has many rewards, God will strengthen you, give you new territory, utterly destroy any evil opposition, and cause you to soar!
Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
Psalm 27:14 NKJV
Wait on the Lord, and keep His Way, and He shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
Psalm 37:3 NKJV
They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31 NKJV
ONE MORE THOUGHT
When my faith is being challenged, and is not as strong as I would like it to be,
I remember that I am totally dependent on a totally dependable God!
If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.
2 Timothy 2:13 NKJV
